Assessment Tools

"Individual performance begins with an understanding of specifically what needs to be accomplished in the job. This needs to be documented, communicated, and measured in behavioral terms."
Job Design & Position Profiling

How can we understand what people need to do to meet new business goals and changing job requirements?

Job Design Process Analysis:

Structures the work flow of a job function using an innovative mapping process which:
  • Analyzes work flow, primary work processes, resource requirements and escalation points.
  • Identifies pinch points, red flags, and opportunities for work process improvement.
  • Provides a framework for problem and cause analysis.
  • Identifies relationships between work units and opportunities for cross training.
  • Contributes insights to improving work unit integration and communication between core business functions.
Competency Mapping

The DACUM Occupational Analysis is short for "Develop A Curriculum". A DACUM map, facilitated by a certified DACUM leader:
  • Visually organizes the job function into areas of competency and their corresponding KSA's (knowledge, skills, attributes).
  • Provides a tool for performance assessment and career planning.
  • Provides the basis for a Curriculum Architecture and performance-based learning
  • Assists in defining selection requirements, promotion requirements, training needs, coaching and performance management practices, career planning, reward and recognition practices.
